Product updates

HabitGlass keeps
getting clearer.

Every HabitGlass update since launch, newest first.

v1.7.0 Coming in 1.7

The schedule update

Plan past the week.

Set habits by the month, every other week, every three months or once a year, and add one-time tasks that move to Archived once they're done.

New Features

  • Plan habits by the month, every other week, every three months, or every year, and see the next dates as you set them up.
  • Add one-time tasks with a due date. Finish one early or late, and it stays in Done for the rest of that day, then leaves Home for Archived with its history saved.
  • See every habit's year together in Insights. Tap View Year under the Check-in Calendar for each month's progress and your best month. Part of Pro.
  • Count reps, kilometres, pages, or a unit you name toward a daily or weekly goal with Counter habits. Log from the habit, a widget, a reminder, or Shortcuts.
  • Repeat a habit every few days, weeks, or months with Custom Interval.
  • Turn on Count From Last Done for chores like mopping every two weeks. The habit stays due until you check it off, then comes back two weeks from the day you did it.

Improvements

  • Add time you forgot to log, or fix time you got wrong, by tapping an earlier day in a time habit's History.
  • Reminders for a weekly goal stop once you've met it, and start again the next week.
  • View Year starts at the month a habit began, instead of a page of empty months before it.
  • Insights and habit details use the same cards as Home.
  • Check iCloud sync status in Settings and see what to do when it needs attention.
v1.6.0 Pending approval

The year update

See the whole year.

Look back over a year of any habit, let Apple Health check off your steps and workouts, set reminders for the times that suit you, and keep habits like coffee under a daily limit.

New Features

  • Check off habits, log water, and ask about your progress with Siri and Shortcuts. Build automations with NFC tags, your Action button, and more.
  • Set several reminder times for a habit, like 8 am and 10 pm for brushing your teeth, and write what each reminder says. Both are part of Pro.
  • Tap View Year under a habit's History for its best month and dot grids per month. Tap a month or a day to open it in History.
  • Limit habits, like no more than 2 coffees a day. Log each one, and a day only counts against you once you go over. Changing the limit later leaves earlier days as they were.
  • Link a habit to Apple Health and it checks itself off when you reach your steps, active energy, exercise minutes or workout goal. You can still check in by hand, and your Health data stays on your iPhone. Part of Pro.

Improvements

  • Browse this month's notes from habit details, and tap a note to edit it.
  • Habit details show all four stats on one card instead of four separate ones.
  • Streak flames warm and grow as you approach your goal, then flare when you reach it, on Home and in habit details.
  • Quit habits count every day as on track unless you log a slip, so you only need to open the app when something goes wrong.
  • Say why you're pausing a habit, like "Travelling", and its card and details show it until the pause ends.
  • Pick a pause's first and last day on a calendar, or turn on No End Date to keep it paused until you resume.

Fixes

  • The in-app update notice now shows up right after a new release instead of up to a day later.
  • Unchecking a habit no longer deletes the note you wrote for that day.
  • If you checked in on two devices while offline, unchecking that day or changing its count now clears it properly.
  • Best streaks and completion rates count your whole history, not just the last three years.
  • Spreadsheet exports no longer mix up the check-ins of two habits with the same name.
  • Check-ins stay on the day you logged them when you travel to another time zone, so your streak doesn't break.
v1.5.0 Released

The time update

Count the hours you put in.

Set time goals for practice and study, and pause a habit for a trip without losing your streak.

New Features

  • Track habits by time spent. Set a goal per day or per week, like 3 hours of guitar a week, and log each session in minutes.
  • Pause a habit for the days you choose, like a trip or a sick week, without losing its history or streak. Pausing is part of Pro.

Improvements

  • Choosing a theme in Settings › Appearance brings a little sky through sunset into starlight, with softer reflections and habits lighting up after dark.
  • Choosing a Home layout previews real habit cards that glide into Cards, Rows, or Tiles as you switch.
  • Home responds sooner after launch and switches between Cards, Rows, and Tiles more smoothly.
v1.4.0 Released

More control, clearer reminders

A more personal HabitGlass.

A guided start, a more personal Home, and a new Today widget.

New Features

  • Try the interactive welcome tour: check in on a sample habit, choose a Home layout, and preview a reminder.
  • Compare every Pro plan at the end of the tour, or upgrade from Home when you reach the three-habit free limit. Not Now keeps you on Free.
  • Choose which day starts your week in Settings › General. Calendars, weekly goals, and streaks follow your choice; past weekly results are recalculated.
  • Choose a custom background, or let its colors shift with the time of day.
  • Preview and manage your habit reminders together in Settings › Notifications.
  • Add the Today widget to see the day's habits on your Home Screen and check them off as you go. Touch and hold it to choose which habits it lists.

Improvements

  • Settings opens in a large sheet, with dedicated pages for General, Appearance, Notifications, About, Support, and Data & Backup.
  • The Habit Focus widget shows how many habits remain today and follows Home's order when choosing the next one.
  • Habit cards have clearer, softer glass surfaces. Preview app icons and Glass Plant icon backgrounds before setting them.

Fixes

  • Reminders now respect each habit's scheduled days and start date, refresh after iCloud changes, clear when habits are turned off or archived, and open the right habit or logging screen.
  • Widget ticks and icons stay visible on Clear and Tinted Home Screens. Habit Focus keeps the same next habit as Home after backup imports and iCloud sync.

New Features

  • A new welcome: a trail of light climbs toward sunrise as you set up your first habits and try your first check-in.
  • Redesigned Insights show your completion, the trend against the previous period, and a Coach's Take, from 7 days up to a year. Tap any day in the calendar to see what you finished.
  • Home now sorts weekly goals into This week, habits that aren't due into Not today, and finished habits into Done, so a 3-times-a-week habit no longer counts against today. Turn on Collapse Done in Settings › Home Layout to fold finished habits away until tomorrow.
  • Habit cards lead with today's progress, your current streak, and your month as daily bars, in every Home layout and in widgets. Water and reading goals show on every card.
  • Choose your theme, app color, and app icon under Appearance. Keep the original icon or pick a new Light or Dark plant icon.
  • After you add a habit, HabitGlass offers to set a daily reminder for it.
  • Fix a reading log from the Adjust menu: undo the last log, remove pages or minutes, or reset today. Your bookmark moves back with removed pages.
  • Feel a tap when opening or leaving habit details, or editing habits. Turn off haptics in Settings.

Improvements

  • Habit cards and widgets count your month in days, like 22/27 days, and weekly goals count the weeks you hit, like 3/4 weeks.
  • Bubble rows and Mini constellations are now called Rows and Tiles.
  • Insights, habit details, and widgets feel quicker, especially with a long history.

Fixes

  • Reminders you set up before allowing notifications now start as soon as you allow them, without reopening the app.
HabitGlass Home under Today, with Drink water and Read a Book due, Meditate and Morning run done, and each card showing its month as daily bars with a streak.
